Getting here

Arriving by tube
The nearest tube stations are:
– White City – Central line (0.2 miles to entrance)
– Wood Lane – Circle and Hammersmith and City lines (0.4 miles to entrance)
From either station, turn right, cross over Wood Lane at the traffic lights, head straight down South Africa Road and turn right at Dorando Close. The building on the corner is 1EdCity and the entrance is around 30 meters along Dorando Close.

Arriving by bus
Buses run from:
– Wood Lane (0.3 miles to entrance)
– South Africa Road (0.2 miles to entrance)

Arriving by bike
There is a bike rack outside the café entrance for guest use. Guests are not permitted to store or charge their bikes, e-bikes, scooters or e-scooters inside the building.

Arriving by car
There is no parking at 1EdCity. The nearest pay-and-display car park is Car Park B at Westfield London (0.5 miles to entrance). Taxis can drop off outside the entrance of 1EdCity on Dorando Close.

Building access and facilities

Ground floor
There is an access intercom at the entrance to the building. Dorando’s Cafe, the Hall and the Theatre are on the ground floor and have step-free access. There is a variety of furniture for hotdesking and casual meetings in the Hall. The Theatre has fixed raked seating for 42 people with steps to all seats except for the front row. There is space for wheelchair users in front of the first row of seating. Audio in the Hall and the Theatre is amplified and there is a hearing loop system available upon request.

1st floor
The Seminar Rooms and Assembly Rooms are on the first floor which can be accessed via stairs or step-free using one of four lifts. The Seminar Rooms does not have fixed furniture but is laid out classroom style with seating for 12 as standard. The Assembly Rooms has a removable partition wall and can be used as one large room for up to 100 people seated theatre style, or two smaller rooms for up to 50. There are three wall mounted screens and speakers can be amplified and there is a hearing loop system available upon request.

9th floor
The 9th floor event space can be accessed by one of four lifts or by stairs. The space holds 100 people standing. There is a variety of casual seating. The audio can be amplified and there is a hearing loop system available upon request. There is a boardroom at one end with a fixed table for 20 people. Chairs can be removed.

Toilets
All floors have at least one wheelchair accessible WC. All toilets are self-contained with a toilet and hand basin and are gender neutral.
