Member FAQ

What coworking spaces are available to members?
The flexible common locations available as part of membership are:

  • The ground-floor hall (unless booked): this is a flexible open space with both 6-person tables, softer seating and a kitchenette.
  • The first-floor mezzanine: has desks, soft seating, two pods for phone calls and a kitchenette.

In addition, members can access the ground-floor reception area and café, which is also open to the public. The reception area has booths and tables for co-working, which are fitted with sockets.

Are there any extra costs to use the coworking space?
No, members’ unlimited access to the co-working spaces is included in the yearly membership fee of just £50. If members wish to hire dedicated meeting rooms or events spaces, these come at additional cost but will be discounted by 25%.

Do I have to book a desk to use the coworking space?
No, the coworking spaces are not bookable. You just show up and grab a seat.

Do I have access to the bike garage/showers?
No, this amenity is available to tenants only. There is plenty of bike storage around the EdCity campus.

Can I bring external guests to the coworking space?
The co-working space is available to members only, however you are free to invite guests to EdCity if you have hired a space for a meeting or event. A list of external guests must be provided to EdCity building management no later than 48 hours in advance via [email protected]. On arrival, they need to be signed in at the front desk, where they will be given an access pass for the day.

The booths and desks in the reception area, as well as the café, are open to the public.

How can I use the meeting rooms?
Meeting rooms and other EdCity venues can be booked via the membership portal, or you can make an enquiry via the EdCity website.

How do I gain access to the coworking spaces in the Hall and first floor?
To access EdCity’s co-working spaces you’ll need to download the Paxton app on your phone. Our front office team will email you a registration code shortly after you register as a member – just enter it in the app to get started.
