Driving system change: European education leaders gather at EdCity

In June, leaders from Teach For All organisations across Europe gathered in London to explore systemic education transformation through the lens of the ‘London Story’ – examining how the city has driven sustained improvements in outcomes for children and young people over the past two decades.
At EdCity, the focus turned to place-based collaboration and the conditions needed to sustain impact. The group were impressed by the scale of the campus and its ambitious vision.
Through meeting a variety of organisations based at EdCity, the group were able to understand its value as a space where sector professionals can come together, learn from shared experience and translate those learnings into action within their own contexts.
Ark was able to showcase its place-based collaboration work and explore the role of partnerships within and beyond the education sector as well as the role of multi-academy trusts in driving system-wide change.
Katrina Black, Head of Partner Engagement & Program, Europe, Teach For All said, “Our guests were so impressed by the level of intentionality, vision and action which came together at EdCity. Seeing so many different actors speaking a similar language and being so mission aligned was powerful to hear when thinking about how we shift systems – the importance of the alignment of people and practice!”
