Women of Connection brings education leaders together at EdCity

On Thursday 9 July, EdCity’s rooftop terrace welcomed the Women of Connection summer drinks reception – an uplifting evening of conversation, celebration and purposeful connection for leaders from across the education sector.  

Founded by Evelyn Forde MBE and Nav Sanghara, Women of Connection brings together women from the global majority, allies, and both established and aspiring leaders who are committed to strengthening representation, belonging and the leadership pipeline in education.  

Against the backdrop of a warm summer evening, more than 60 guests came together to reconnect with old friends, make new connections and reflect on the power of creating spaces where leaders can be seen, heard and supported. 

The event reflected the values at the heart of EdCity: bringing people together to collaborate, share ideas and build relationships that ultimately improve outcomes for children and young people. Supported by The Key Support Services, Ambition Institute, BeReady and Browne Jacobson, the reception created an atmosphere of warmth, joy and possibility.  

Despite taking place at the end of a long and busy term, the terrace was filled with energy as conversations were sparked and new partnerships began to take shape, and guests enjoyed an evening of music, food, drink and celebration.
